Here's some things I learned about Connecticut today.
1. When exercising, before I'm even close to being out of breath I am already dripping sweat!
2. People here honk for no apparent reason at all!
3. Jeans, long walks, CT humidity are not things you want to pair with each other.
4. A 12 inch pizza is definitely big enough for 2
5. Don't walk across the where the freeway is, bad area.
Last night we went to dinner at an Italian restaurant and ordered WAY to much pizza. Either ordering in Connecticut is more complicated or our common sense on ordering went out the window (I think the second). But it's okay Newel took some for lunch and we still have a whole pizza in our fridge!
Newel told me a while ago that sometimes on his mission it would be so hot he'd go into a bathroom stall, pull his pants all the way down and hold his shirt all the way up to get cooler. I always thought that was weird but as I was walking home from his office that's all I could think about doing! It was so hot! It was going to be a library day since there is one SO close to our house but after walking to and from Newel's office I just needed to get home!
I had lunch at the office today. Real heavy security, definitely no place to mess around. I had to get a visitor badge with my picture on it and you have to scan in wherever you go! But it is an amazing building! So big and modern. I had an avocado chicken wrap from one of the many places to get food on level 8, went and signed myself up for the gym and walked around the huge patio that's above 8 floors. Not a very good picture but you look down and there is a huge floor of computers! Newel said something about it being stock market, he said it's the biggest one in the world. You couldn't see from up there but he said it's about 3 football fields big! On the patio it also looked like employees could rent planter boxes and grow their own plants! SO COOL! Grandma Cusick would love it, definitely writing that in the postcard! To bad this isn't the Utah office!
Homework has consumed most my day and will tomorrow as well! But were going to Yoga in an hour so hopefully that will be fun!

First off my brother works for Goldman Sachs so ya I know how big some of the rooms can get. Also on my mission I would come home and take a cold fud. Fud is a Japanese bath. My companions thought I was crazy until the joined me. Or I mean started doing the same thing.

ReplyDeleteAnd I am laughing my head off about Newel stripping in a bathroom stall. And I am laughing even harder about your dad's companions joining him in a fud.
I want to see some pictures of your apartment and you and New, sounds fun though
